Principal's Nomination Scholarship Scheme

The Swiss Education Group (SEG) Hong Kong Admission Office proudly presents the Principal’s Nomination Scholarship Scheme. This prestigious initiative aims to recognize and support outstanding Hong Kong secondary school students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievements, leadership potential, and a passionate commitment to global hospitality, business, tourism, and culinary arts management.

Through this scheme, nominated students will have the exclusive opportunity to pursue world-class higher education in Switzerland, developing an international mindset and gaining invaluable global career perspectives.

Eligible Institutions & Academic Programs

Our curriculum covers global hospitality management, tourism and events, luxury brand marketing, human resources, financial analysis, hotel design, and culinary business management. All programs are taught entirely in English, featuring direct collaborations with prestigious international brands to stay ahead of global industry trends. The scholarship is fully applicable to bachelor’s degree programs across our four elite institutions:

  • Swiss Hotel Management School (Campuses: Caux & Leysin)
  • César Ritz Colleges Switzerland (Campus: Le Bouveret)
  • HIM Business School (Campus: Montreux)
  • Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland (Campus: Le Bouveret)

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all the following requirements:

  • Resident of the Hong Kong SAR
  • Meet the entry requirements for their chosen SEG program
  • Currently enrolled in or graduating from a secondary school in Hong Kong and receive an official recommendation from the school Principal or Career Master
  • Newly admitted freshman commencing their first year of study in the 2027 academic year

Application Documents & Procedure

Nominated students must first submit their university admission application to SEG, followed by the submission of the following scholarship documents:

    1. An official Recommendation Letter written by the school Principal or a senior teacher.
    2. A completed and signed Principal’s Nomination Application Form.
    3. A completed and signed Scholarship Application Form.
    4. Copies of secondary school academic transcripts (from Secondary 4 to Secondary 6).
    5. A comprehensive CV detailing extracurricular achievements, certificates, or awards.
    6. A personal Motivation Letter in English (maximum 500 words).

How to Submit: Application dossiers can be submitted either directly by the nominating secondary school or by the student. Please compile all documents into a single PDF format and email it to: scholarship@swisseducation.com.hk with the subject line: “Application for Principal’s Nomination Scholarship Scheme”.

Important Deadlines & General Terms

    • Application Deadline: May 31, 2027 (Monday)
    • Result Announcement: Successful scholarship recipients will be notified individually via email within two weeks of their complete submission.

Terms & Conditions: This scholarship cannot be combined or used in conjunction with any other promotional offers, tuition discounts, or concurrent SEG scholarships. Swiss Education Group (SEG) reserves the right of final decision regarding all scholarship awards and eligibility approvals.

    • Eligibility: Open to students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance in their secondary school studies.
    • Quota: Maximum 2 students nominated per secondary school.
    • Scholarship Value: Up to 40% Tuition Fee Reduction (Maximum value up to approx. CHF 52,000 / HKD 520,000 for the entire Bachelor’s program).
    • Maximum Scholarship by Institution:
        • SHMS (Swiss Hotel Management School) – Up to 40%
        • CAAS (Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland) – Up to 35%
        • HIM (HIM Business School) – Up to 25%
        • CRCS (César Ritz Colleges Switzerland) – Up to 15%

    • Note: The actual tuition credit and percentage will be calculated, reviewed, and disbursed based on the specific institution’s current academic year fee structure and academic credentials.

    • Eligibility: Designed for well-rounded students who demonstrate exceptional talents, achievements, or leadership roles in non-academic fields (e.g., Arts & Culture, Community Service, Sports, Student Council, or Innovation & Technology).
    • Quota: Maximum 2 students nominated per secondary school.
    • Scholarship Value: Up to 40% Tuition Fee Reduction (Maximum value up to approx. CHF 52,000 / HKD 520,000 for the entire Bachelor’s program).
    • Maximum Scholarship by Institution:

        • CAAS (Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland) – Up to 35%

    • Selection Process:
        • Unlike the academic track, a compulsory personal interview is required for all holistic track nominees to assess their passion, leadership potential, and communication skills.

    • Note: The final award and specific percentage are determined by the scholarship committee based on the applicant’s interview performance and extracurricular portfolio.
